Install V-Smart On Your Device

  1. Tap the applications menu on your device and tap the settings application.

  2. From the settings application, select security then tap "Unknown resources" to allow installation of non-market apps.

  3. Make sure that the "Unknown resources" is checked so that you can install the V-Smart application.

  4. Check your internet connection to use the browser in your device.

  5. Open Google Play, formerly known as the Android Market, the official app store for Android smartphones and tablets.

  6. Find V-Smart using the search button and tap "Install" to download the app.

  7. You will then see the icon of the V-Smart app after exiting back to the home screen.

  1. Turn on your IOS device then check your internet connection. Make sure that you have your Apple ID email address and password.

  2. Tap the App Store icon on your device. In the top right corner, you will see a search bar.

  3. Enter V-Smart in the search bar and this will lead you to a page about the app.

  4. Tap the button that says "Free" to install. A window will pop up asking you to enter your Apple ID information.

  5. After you verify your Apple ID information, the app will automatically download.

  6. You will see the icon of the V-Smart app after exiting back to the home screen.

  1. Tap or click the Store icon on the Start screen to open the Windows Store. You need to be connected to the Internet to open the Store and you'll need to sign in using a Microsoft account.

  2. Once you're in the Windows Store, enter V-Smart into the search box in the upper right corner of the Store.

  3. Tap the V-Smart app to install it for free.

  4. After V-Smart is installed, you'll find it listed in the Apps view with all the other apps on your device. You can pin the app to your Start screen so it's easier for you to find and use later.

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store by clicking the icon on your new tab page or apps list. You may also visit the store by typing "http://chrome.google.com/webstore" into the omnibox.

  2. Once you're in the store, browse or search for V-Smart for free.

  3. Click "Add to Chrome" on its details page to add it to your account.

  4. After installing it, the V-Smart App will automatically appear on your apps list.

How do I add interactive e-textbooks to my Textbook Module?

  1. Open the V-Smart app then tap the textbook module.

  2. Find the "Import" button to add interactive textbooks.

  3. When you tap it, you will see the list of folders with other files.

  4. Just search for and tap the interactive textbook that you want to add.

  5. After adding it, it will automatically appear on your bookshelf.

  1. For IOS, if you want to add interactive e-textbooks from Vibal, just use the support link tab to leave a message which includes your email address, password, and the e-textbook you want to add.

  2. If the transaction is successful, the e-textbook will automatically appear on the bookshelf.

  3. It is possible to add PDF or epub files from other publishers, though these will not have interactivity features. If you wish for these to have interactivity, send a message using the support link for assistance.

  1. Turn on your device and open the V-Smart application.

  2. Open the textbook module. If the device is a tablet all you have to do is swipe the page and you will see the "Import" button; if the device is a desktop or laptop computer just right click the page then click the "Import" button.

  3. Choose the folder that will show your books and click on it.

  4. The books will automatically be added to your bookshelf in the Textbook Module of V-Smart.

  1. Turn on your Chrome Book device and find the V-smart app.

  2. Open V-Smart and click on the Textbook Module.

  3. Find the "Import" button to import your Interactive e-textbooks.

  4. Click the button, find your e-textbooks among your files, then select them.

  5. Just wait for the books to load.

  6. After the loading process, the e-textbooks will be automatically added to your bookshelf.

Where can I find the quizzes I need to take for a particular subject?

  1. In Android, IOS, Windows 8.1, and Chrome OS, you will find the quizzes you need to take for a particular subject in your Subjects Module.

  2. Tap the Subject Module. You will see the list of subjects you are enrolled in.

  3. Choose the particular subject that you need to take the quiz for, then tap on it.

  4. Find "My Quizzes" below the subject name, then tap the "View" button.

  5. Tap the name of the quiz to start taking the quiz.

  6. After taking the quiz, you will automatically receive instant feedback.

What are the types of quiz supported by V-Smart Quiz Guru?

  1. The types of quiz supported by V-Smart Quiz Guru are Test, Pool, and Survey (which is not graded).

Where can I find my class schedule?

  1. Open the V-smart application and find the Subject Module.

  2. The subject module will show the list of subjects you are enrolled in.

  3. Choose your subject by tapping it. You will see the details about the subject and the class schedule.

I can’t log in to V-Smart on my tablet. What should I do?

If you are using the online version, please make sure that you have a reliable Internet connection in order to log in. You need an account with V-Smart in order to log in to the app. Your school will issue you a username and password. Please make sure that you enter them correctly.

I just downloaded an e-book to my device, but the book won’t open. The app then suddenly quits. What should I do?

If an e-book does not open right after downloading, there may have been an error during the downloading process. You may need to delete the e-book, then re-download it via a reliable Internet connection to ensure that it opens properly.

If that doesn’t work, go to your tablet’s settings, tap Application/V-Smart, then clear data/cache or restart the tablet if necessary. Then try logging in and downloading again.

I’m trying to download an e-book onto my device but the process is taking longer than usual. Then a prompt says “Server is busy” or “Contacting server.” What should I do?

This problem may be caused by a number of factors. One is an Internet connection that is too slow. If the webhost is experiencing technical difficulties, then that affects the functions of the bookstore, including downloading.

You can try downloading the e-book another time. It is best to do this during non-peak hours to avoid congested networks.

For those using a local school server to download their books offline, the process should be easier and much faster.

While using V-Smart, the app suddenly hangs or becomes unresponsive. What causes this and what should I do?

Any app in your device may “hang” or become unresponsive due to a number of factors. Your tablet’s memory may be nearing full capacity, affecting all the other applications and functions. Using several apps all the same time may also cause this malfunction.

Try to force quit V-Smart and other unnecessary apps. Then open V-Smart and log in. You can also try restarting the device then re-launching the app.

While reading my e-book, some of the pages appear blank. What should I do?

A blank page may contain a high-resolution image that may take some time to load. This could be caused by your device nearing full memory capacity and resulting in the app’s poor performance. The file may also not have been downloaded properly.

My tablet got damaged so I decided to buy a new one. How do I transfer my e-textbooks in V-Smart to my new device?

You can retrieve your e-books from an old device and transfer them to a new one by downloading the app, then logging in. Your device will then automatically download your approved booklist. You can sync your books to a maximum of two devices.
